Shoreline Park on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) is a hidden gem located on North Fort, offering a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of military life. Open from April 1 to October 1, this park provides a wide range of activities and amenities that make it a perfect destination for family outings, unit parties, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Activities and Amenities

Swimming and Water Activities
During the hot summer months, Shoreline Park is the ideal spot to cool off with a refreshing swim in American Lake. The clear waters beckon swimmers of all ages, making it a favorite spot for families and friends looking to beat the heat.

For those who prefer a bit more adventure, the park offers opportunities for fishing and kayaking. Whether you're casting a line or paddling across the lake, you'll find plenty of ways to enjoy the water.

Pavilions for Gatherings
Shoreline Park features three pavilions that can be reserved for gatherings, each offering unique settings and accommodations:

Lakeview Pavilion (Bldg. 8271): Located left of the park entrance, this pavilion accommodates approximately 150 people and is available for $105.
North Shore Pavilion: Perched above the water on stilts, this pavilion accommodates approximately 40 people and is available for $65.
Sunrise Pavilion (Bldg. 8273): Situated on a bluff at the far end of the park, this pavilion also accommodates approximately 150 people and is available for $105.
All pavilions require reservations, and a 72-hour cancellation or reschedule notice is necessary for a full refund, minus a $10 administrative fee. The prices include a $25 refundable deposit, which is returned if the facility is clean, trash is removed, and tables are in their original positions. Notably, the cleaning fee is waived for unit functions.
